Basic Spanish Rice

Spanish rice is simple to make and makes a great addition to any meal. This basic recipe is a great way to use up extra vegetables in the fridge and add an extra layer of flavor to average rice.

Ingredients

3 cups whole grain rice
½ onion (diced)
1 green bell pepper (diced)
3-4 celery sticks (diced)
1 cup of tomato sauce
Chicken bouillon

Preparation

Lightly coat the brown rice with olive oil and saute over medium heat until browned. Add veggies after browning the rice. Let the mixture cook until the veggies are cooked then add 5 cups of water and 1 cup of tomato sauce. Season to taste with salt and chicken bouillon.
