Evenflo Symphony All in One Carseat

symphony imageEvenflo has come out with a new car seat that is an infant, convertible and booster seat all in one. The Evenflo Symphony All in One Car Sear is– Harmony in a car seat.

Evenflo really seemed to pull out all the stops on the Symphony and make this seat as easy to use as possible. The Symphony has function, looks and great design to make choosing your next car seat a breeze.

•This seat has the new SureLATCH™ system that all you have to do now is Click, Click and Push. Rather than having to attach the latch connectors and then tighten the belt to get a tight fit as with the traditional latch system car seats- this connected in 3 easy steps. The car seat is setup as forward facing when you get it, however if you need it setup as rear facing the manual has very easy instructions how to switch the straps- I don’t need it rear facing, but I tried it out first so I could see how easy it was, and I was amazed. Other car seats I have tried you have to thread the latches back through, overlap, etc. it can be a somewhat painful process and they have made it easier. Now if you don’t have the latches in your car and you have to use the seatbelt instead, it is ok because this works with your seat belts too. You just place the seatbelts in the specific locations depending on if the car seat is front or rear facing and you are ready to go.

•The Symphony also has the Infinite Slide™ harness adjustment so now you just have to slide the straps into the right height for your baby and you are set. Evenflo has taken the mess out of adjusting and rethreading the straps that you may have with a traditional car seat.

•Now you have a car seat that will adapt to each stage of your child’s growth. This car seat is designed to fit 5-100 pounds, works as a rear (5-35 pounds) and forward facing car seat (20-40 pounds), and convert into a booster seat too (up to 100 pounds).

•The Symphony has a 5 point safety harness which is used until the booster seat stage. The seat has the chest clip on the harness that is easily unclipped when you need to get your baby in and out of the car. You don’t have to fight with the clip to get it undone, but yet when it is clipped into place; it is not something that your baby can undo.

•It has an easy to adjust headrest that with the simple press of the lever you can lower or raise the height of the headrest. There are no knobs, or buttons to fiddle with. It is so easy that you can even do it with your child in the seat so that it can fit them perfectly.

•The Symphony has their ReclineRight™ system so that the seat is easy to use as the lever is on the front of the seat. You can either recline the seat, or make more upright. The side of the base even has a guide as to which recline position the seat is in.

•The Symphony has their ComfortTouch™ pads that are easily removed and washable. You no longer have to worry that the spit up or smushed in crackers will be a pain to get out. All you need to do is remove the cover and toss it into the washing machine. After the cover is clean, it is easy to place back on the seat and you are ready to go.

•A very important aspect of any car seat (or anything that you willingly place your child in) is the safety aspect of the seat. Evenflo has really taken that in mind when they created this seat. The Symphony is Side Impact Tested and it either meets or exceeds the applicable US Safety Standards and Evenflo’s Side Impact Test Standard. The seat contains energy absorbing foam liner and the seat was tested for structural integrity at about 2 times the federal crash test standard. For me, safety is vital when deciding what car seat I will use with my baby.

•The Symphony is 22.4” x 20.4” x 28.1” and weighs 20 pounds so it is a little bulkier than some seats, but keep in mind that this is built to also accommodate a larger child as well as an infant. The Symphony is not designed to be removed and used to carry infants outside of the car, however in place of that feature you are able to use the Symphony longer than an infant car seat. The Symphony comes with additional padding to use with the infant, but is easily removed as your baby gets bigger.

Overall with the Evenflo Symphony I found that the features that they added to the seat make it easier to use and that is very beneficial to me as a busy mom.
