Potty Watch from Pottytime Inc.

Potty WatchPotty training brings fear into the hearts of moms everywhere. I cringe at the thought of poop smeared bathroom walls and wet spots on the carpet that can’t be blamed on the dog. Parents of a reluctant potty trainer are often bombarded with advice from well meaning family and friends. Others will try and reassure you that your child will not go to kindergarten wearing diapers (although some days I have my doubts about this).

Some kids practically potty train themselves while others may need a bit more encouragement. The Potty Watch from Pottytime inc. helps take some of the struggle out of potty training and makes it fun for kids and takes the stress out of the process for parents.

Take the Power Struggle Out of Potty Training

We’ve been in the process of potty training my 3 ½ year old son for about 6 months now. Having helped potty train nearly a dozen children during my years as a home daycare provider, I would generally tell parents who have worked on potty training for an extended period of time to take a break because their child obviously isn’t ready, but my son has been showing all the signs of potty training readiness for nearly a year and is able to go days at a time without having any accidents and really just needs a little push to become fully potty trained.

One of the biggest challenges we’ve had with potty training is that my son wants to be independent. He’s easily distracted though, as boys tend to be, and forgets to go potty during the day if he is busy playing. I try and remind him to go potty periodically but it doesn’t take too many reminders before he’s feeling nagged and rebels by refusing to use the potty. The Potty Watch gives my son back his independence by giving him a gentle reminder and letting him make the choice to use the potty on his own.

Stylish Accessory or Potty Training Tool?

The Potty Watch is an adorable replica of a potty and comes in three colors, blue, pink, or green. My 3 year old loves showing off his cool Potty Watch to everyone he sees and proudly tells them that he is big boy now. My son has long been jealous of his older brother’s watch and was thrilled to have a watch of his own. He was excited to put the Potty Watch on every morning and the reminders give him the responsibility to choose to use the potty or choose to be wet. It didn’t take too many times before he decided that choosing to use the potty was a better option.

I’m confident that the Potty Watch will give my son the little boost he needs to potty train. The confidence and ability to take responsibility for his own needs that it gives him are priceless.
