Radio Flyer is a classic and it’s hard not to love an old favorite. Radio Flyer has had a place in my home since my oldest child was old enough to be pulled around in his little red wagon while lying on a blanket and looking at the sky. Radio Flyer has evolved over the years, while managing to keep the same classic feel that I love. The new EZ Rider scooter from Radio Flyer is a great scooter for kids who have outgrown the three wheeled My First Scooter from Radio Flyer but haven’t developed the balance that they need for traditional two wheeled scooters.

Easy 2-Wheeled Scooter for Kids

My 6 year old loved Radio Flyer’s My First Scooter but he had outgrown it so he very reluctantly passed it onto his 3 year old brother. He was thrilled when Radio Flyer came out with the EZ Rider because it is a 2-wheeled scooter, so it offers a bit more of a challenge, but the wide wheels and the large base make it a very easy scooter to ride. The EZ Rider is so stable that it can actually stand by itself so it’s a great way for kids to learn balance without getting frustrated and possibly hurt riding a scooter that is beyond their skill level.

EZ Rider Features

Like all Radio Flyer products, the EZ Rider is extremely durable and can hold up to whatever kids can dish out. We have a few Radio Flyer products that we bought with my oldest son and have now been through 3 kids and look brand new. The styling has an updated retro look to it that appeals to older kids. The EZ Rider is larger than most 2-wheeled scooters due to all the features that provide the extra stability but the handle folds so it can easily be stored or transported. The handle can be adjusted as the child grows but is stable enough that it will not slip into a different position during use.

The Radio Flyer EZ Rider is a definite winner for the 3-8 set and is a great step up for kids who have outgrown Radio Flyer’s My First Scooter.
