Hoop Painting Fun Bag (Giveaway Closed)

Art has never been one of my strong points but as new homeschoolers I want to be sure and expose my kids to as many experiences as I can, regardless of my own level of talent. Jacquard Products has a variety of all-inclusive art kids, like the Funky Groovy Tie Dye kit that we enjoyed over the summer.
The Hoop Painting Fun Bag is a new kit that introduces kids (or adults) to silk painting. The kit is CPSIA-compliant and contains all the professional quality materials that you need to create 3 silk hoops.
All-Inclusive Art Kit for Kids
My 6 year old was excited to try silk painting for the first time. The samples in the instructions were so beautiful that it made him excited to try and experience with several techniques to create the silk hoop that he wanted. We did this project outside but it was clean enough that it could easily be done inside on a surface covered in newspaper, provided there are no younger kids around who want to try and get into the materials. The Hoop Painting Fun Bag comes with three colors of Dye-Na-Flow paint (red, yellow, and blue) but because they are primary colors, kids have the ability to mix colors to create nearly any color in the spectrum making it a great science activity for preschoolers as well.
My 6 year old was able to make his silk hoop with no help from me beyond giving some basic instructions. The materials were easy enough to use that I think my almost 4 year old would have been fine using the kit as well. You do have to be careful because the ink took some time to come off of my hands so I suspect it would be difficult to get out of clothing. A basic art smock or old t-shirt would be a great way to protect clothing.

I was amazed at the price of this kit considering the high quality materials that it comes with. The Hoop Painting Fun Bag retails for only $13.99. Since it includes enough materials to make 3 silk hoops, this makes it less than $4 for each project which is extremely reasonable.
