Friday Fitness Fact – Balancing Act

Do you stumble, trip and even fall often? People always comment on your infamous clumsiness? This could truly be a telling sign of your senior years. A lack of balance is the number one reason for falls that result in broken bones and joint replacements after the age of 60. So get started now by improving your balance. One of the easiest techniques is this: stand on 1 foot while you brush your teeth. Do a minute a foot while you spend your two minutes brushing. Once you have mastered this shoot for the whole two minutes on one foot in the morning and then do the other foot in the evening.
About the Author Pamela is the mom of three growing boys. She has been a stay-at-home mom for the last five years but is re-entering the work force and the fitness world. Pamela has a passion for water aerobics and is currently becoming a certified instructor. Eventually,Pamela plans to get back to personal training, with which she plans to focus on fitness for moms. Pamela has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis on Exercise Science, and a minor in Psychology.
