#WAHMW – Domestic Violence

Busy Mommy Media is excited for the first Work at Home Mom Wednesday (#WAHMW) Twitter Party this week. Each week as part of Work at Home Mom Wednesday, we will feature 2-3 work at home mom businesses and some great giveaways for twitter party guests. Sponsorship of #WAHMW is free to work at home moms. The only cost to participate is the donation of at least 2 giveaway prizes for party guests. If you are a work at home mom and are interested in sponsoring #WAHM, click here for more information and to apply as a sponsor.

Our work at home mom sponsor this week is Deb Baily, owner of Power Woman Magazine and the host of Power Woman Radio. We are going to be talking about a serious topic that affects 1 in 4 women at some point during their life – domestic violence. Deb herself is a survivor of domestic violence and is currently working on a book on the subject. Deb will talk with us about ways women can protect themselves from domestic violence and how we can help women who are in dangerous situations. Whether you have experience with domestic violence yourself, know someone who has, or are interested in gaining some understanding of the subject, you won’t want to miss #WAHMW this week.

How to Attend #WAHMW

1. Follow @BusyMommyMedia and @powerwomenmag to follow the party posts.

2. RSVP on the Mr. Linky below using your twitter id so that participants can follow you on Twitter before the party starts and you can be eligible for party prizes.

3. Share this post with your friends by clicking on the share link at the bottom of the page.

4. At the time of the party, set up your tweet grid to follow along with the #WAHMW party posts.

How to Use Tweet Grid for Twitter Parties

Tweet Grid is a great service that allows you to easily follow posts as part of a Twitter party. Tweet Grid is free to use. All you need is a Twitter account.

A few minutes before the party, go to Tweetgrid.com. You can use whatever setup you’d like for the party but I’d recommend the 1×3.

In the first column, enter “#WAHMW” so that you can see all the party posts.

In the second column, enter  @BusyMommyMedia and @powerwomenmag so you can follow the party hosts.

In the third column, enter your Twitter id so you can see what people are saying to you.

If you have any problems using the Tweet Grid, send a message to @BusyMommyMedia or email Rachel.
