Check out the video of this thing in action. I’ve had a blast watching my kids play with it all day although I have to admit that I’m a bit stunned that my 6 year old who was a baby, like yesterday, is saying stuff like, “Hey mom! Look at that sweet trick I did!”
Last year’s party ended sadly for me personally, when I went into preterm labor and my son passed away after only 10 minutes of life. I’m taking the opportunity this year to celebrate his birthday and the chance that I have to be his mom even if he isn’t physically here with my family. One of the things always amazes me about the blogosphere is how complete strangers can come together to support each other during hard times and celebrate the everyday milestones that make life worth living.
My name is Rachel and I’m the owner and executive editor of Busy Mommy Media. I have 4 boys, ages 6, 4, 2, and one who passed away at birth. I have an English degree and a background in education. I taught high school in a residential treatment center until shortly after my oldest son was born when I quit my job to start a home daycare and preschool in my home. Now I write for several online and print publications from home in between diaper changes and homeschooling my first grader and preschooler. We recently moved our family from Utah to California and we are thoroughly enjoying the warm weather and short walk to the beach (are you jealous yet?). We’re also dangerously close to a little French bakery that sell treats like this.
Don’t let the fruit fool you. That is not low fat. Everything underneath is pure cream. No party is complete without some tasty treats though so I made the sacrifice of enjoying a few of these a bite of this to celebrate the start of the Ultimate Blog Party. I’ll have to try and stay away from there for a while though or I won’t be able to enjoy being near the beach since I’ll have to cover up my fatness with baggy sweatpants.
