Bugs are an essential part of summer. I have all boys so if I don’t embrace their love affair with bugs and join in . . . they are going to fill their pockets full of potato bugs and not tell me about them until after they’ve been through the wash.
My kids had LOVED doing the Insect Lore Butterfly Garden kit. My 4 year old in particular still talks about it nearly every day – he was just amazed that caterpillars could do that. Remember our butterfly release party? That has been one of the high points of their year (and they’ve been to Disneyland a handful of times already).
Several of you had a chance to try out your own Insect Lore Butterfly Garden’s through our giveaway on the site and our Insect Lore #MomStorm Twitter party.
Katie was one of our lucky readers who won a Butterfly Garden kit and she was kind enough to send us photos of her butterflies. Look how happy her kids are. I love those smiles.
Those of you who had the chance to chat with the Insect Lore crew during the #MomStorm party know that they are a friendly bunch. They just couldn’t resist giving away more insect kits to help you have a great summer with your kids. This time, we’re giving away more than just butterflies and I’m sure they’ll all be a hit.

Oh man, my kids have been bugging me to get this.
If they could have all these that will chirp like crickets in glee.
Up until this year, it would have been butterflies. However, after fighting garden pests this year, I have a new found respect for ladybugs. I have been buying them and releasing them into my garden. After years of trying to have a successful garden, this year it is wonderful. I made a few changes in fertilizing and keep a supply of ladybugs. Our children are enjoying the fresh veggies.
So I would pick ladybugs.
Thank you for the entry!

I don’t see my original comment, but I do see my 2nd comment. I said that I would like the Frog Bog because we used to get the butterfly one from Insect Lore every year and frogs used to breed in our wading pool. But the kids are too big for the wading pool now, so we won’t be getting any more frogs.

I would like to win Ladybug Land because my daughter is crazy about Ladybugs!
I want the ladybug land…my kids think it’s funny that I was once scared of a massive plume of ladybugs and I need to show them I’m over it, plus they will keep the aphids out of my garden.
My 3 yo is fascinated with frogs, so we’d love the Frog Bog kit. It’s funny to listen to her say amphibian.
