We rarely go to the movies together as a family but for Toy Story 3 we are making an exception. The Toy Story movies are some of my all time favorite children’s movies and my kids adore them. There was a time when Toy Story had a permanent home in our DVD player. To this day, I think my kids – at least partially –  think that their toys come alive when they aren’t looking.

We are big fans of Legoland and since moving to San Diego we’ve been taking full advantage of our season passes. My kids have been eyeing the Toy Story Legos that started to pop up in the gift shop window several months ago and we all agreed that the alien minifigs may just be the cutest thing ever.

Lego’s Toy Story Construct a Buzz has the same great quality that you expect from Lego. My 6 year old was able to build this without help and has had a blast using his other Legos to construct obstacles for Buzz to climb over, stand on, and crash through. Buzz must be exhausted.

I was impressed by how reasonable the price of the Construct a Buzz is – only $24.99. That’s still in my birthday gift budget range and includes a great building activity and a toy for pretend play afterwards. We’re gearing up to watch the movie this weekend and I’m sure this toy is going to get plenty of play time before and after.
