I live in a house with 3 teenage boys. And when I say they eat everything, I mean absolutely everything. Not only do they eat anything they can get their hands on, like chips, every last bit of fruit, any frozen food that they can just pop in the microwave, and every granola bar that comes home from the store, they also constantly ask for wings, specifically these Mango Habanero Wings. I can’t blame them. They are amazing.
My best friend and I used to constantly go to eat out after school at this little Chinese buffet down the street from our high school. Even after we graduated and went to college, we still went out once a week to catch up…at first. Then we realized how much college was costing us…and how small our budgets were.
Not wanting to give up on tradition, we decided to stay in and make our favorites at home. And we didn’t have to put real pants on to leave the house? Sold. Easiest decision of my life. I love spring! There’s something so amazing about watching everything bloom after winter and enjoying the taste of fresh spring produce. Of course it’s always fun to change things up a bit. We gave brunch a fun twist with these Breakfast Pierogis. Filled with caramelized onion, goat cheese, and bacon and topped with an incredible maple butter, these are going to leave you craving more. I love bacon blended with sweet flavors. That salty sweet combo gets me every time and it is so perfect for breakfast or bunch. These pierogis would have been amazing on their own but that maple butter just takes them over the top.

Or course, we do know that starting the morning off right is so important to helping the rest of the day go smoothly so we make a good solid effort to have a great morning. One of our favorite ways to jump start the morning is with these quick and easy yogurt parfaits using our favorite Yoplait yogurt. These require almost no prep-work (perfect when you just don’t have it in you in the mornings) and they are so much fun for kids to make on their own.
BONUS: That means you don’t have to make everyone breakfast. Just spread out the ingredients on the counter and let them go to town.
