You can’t get much better than these ooey gooey Chocolate Pecan Cookie Bars. With a brown sugar oatmeal crust and filled with chocolate, pecans, and your choice of sweetened condensed milk or caramel filling, these have everything I love in a desert.
The holidays are not complete without the smell of delicious things cooking. Every family has that one thing that just makes it feel like the holidays. In my family, this is it. These cranberry muffins are a favorite at my house during the holidays. Deliciously decadent, especially eaten hot with the rich butter sauce poured over the top, these will be the hit of any holiday party and no one will believe how simple they are to make.
School may be back in session but I’m not quite ready to give up on summer yet. We have a lot of bon fires on the beach during the summer around here so nothing says summer quite as much to me as the taste of s’mores. These easy S’mores ice-cream sandwiches make the perfect after-school snack and are a great way to hang onto summer for just a bit longer.
Whether it is for a party, a treat for your neighbors, or in a tin to be sent far away, these cookies are my number one go-to for holiday baking. They’re so easy to make — no messy rolling and cutting — and they even hold up to the abuses of being mailed. And the pumpkin makes them (gasp!) healthier than traditional cookies. But donít worry, the moist texture and rich caramel frosting mean they taste like pure holiday cookie indulgence.
I have a weakness for holiday cookies. It’s one of the great joys of the holiday season, and probably one of the major reasons why I’m also big on January resolutions.
This fun cookie recipe for Surprise Package Cookies from the Taste of Home cookbook has a fun surprise on the inside — a chocolate mint candy!
