As adults, we don’t often know how to relax and have a good time. The idea of playing takes a back seat to work, household chores, and other responsibilities. Play is such an important part of childhood (and adulthood if we are willing to admit it). As parents, it’s so important to teach kids to prioritize play and help them develop healthy ways to get out energy, relieve stress, and enjoy life.
My kids love helping me out in the kitchen, especially when we have a festive holiday treat to make. They never turn down cookies in any form . . . and, well, neither do I.
I don’t often have a lot of time (or patience) to spend baking things from scratch. When you are cooking with 3 kids who are all under 5, baking from scratch just isn’t going to happen. That’s why I love how easy Pillsbury makes it to create some amazing treats with my kids, even when I don’t have hours to spend in the kitchen. We used their cute Ready-to-Bake Chick Cookies to make this baking project super easy.
These Easter Chick Cookie Pops are so easy to make and they look like a cute little chick sitting in a nest of Easter grass! These are perfect for entertaining this spring or to make as a fun treat for (or with) your kids.
Do you have a Minecraft fan in your house?
My boys live and breathe Minecraft these days so we’ve been on the hunt for the perfect Minecraft themed gifts this holiday season.
It’s been fun as a parent to watch my kids play Minecraft because I’m always amazed at what they come up with. My kids have outgrown most building toys so I love that they still have a way to channel that energy with Minecraft. You can play in Creative Mode with unlimited resources or mine deep in Survival Mode, crafting weapons and armor to fend off dangerous mobs. Do all this alone or with friends.
Giving gifts during the holiday season is a great way to show people how much you appreciate them and it can be a lot of fun. It can also get expensive fast, especially if you have quite a few neighbors to buy for.
We already went through some ideas to help your budget during the holiday season but now we have some ways you can give awesome neighbor gifts without killing your budget.
My family adopted over the summer.
It was an adoption of the furry variety. My kids had been begging for a dog for years so when we saw a little 2 year old Corgi/Australian Shepherd mix that needed a home, we knew he needed to join our family.
This holiday season is a big milestone for our family because not only is it our first holiday in our new house, but it’s also doggy’s first Christmas. We’ve partnered with CESAR® brand to share a few of the ways we are making this holiday season special for our new addition.
