Clean the Air in your Home with the Venta Airwasher

The Venta Airwasher is so quiet, that we actually didn’t think it was doing anything for the first few days we were using it. On the lowest setting, I almost can’t hear it unless I get right next to the unit.

It was definitely doing something though. My a/c unit in my home tracks our humidity levels. Before turning the Venta on, our humidity levels were at 20%, which is terrible. That explains why my hands were always cracking. After a few days of use, we checked the levels again — 40%! That was an amazing change and it was done without causing a soggy spot in my carpet or feeling like we were living in a sauna.

I still wasn’t quite sure it was doing anything the filter the air. I mean, it just seemed like such a simple design and it was so quiet. Surely it should be making an obnoxious noise if it was really cleaning the air, right? Then I went to change the water. You guys, the “stuff” that came out of that water will haunt my dreams. That stuff was in my air!

I LOVE that I don’t have to worry about those things being in my air anymore. I’m so excited to see how allergy season goes for us now that we have clean air inside our homw.

How to Use your Venta Airwasher

The Venta Airwasher is so easy to use. The German engineering really shines through when you realize how well designed this unit is. The top piece lifts off easily to reveal rotating disks. There are no filters (which means no more cleaning, changing, or trying to find the right size!). The water does all the filtering without the need for extra filters.

With 6 kids in my house, I love that the disks stop spinning automatically so no tiny fingers are at risk of getting hurt.

To add water, I just use a large pitcher and pour water into the unit.

Do you love essential oils? You can add them directly into the water (although Venta only approves of using their line of essential oils). This machine really does it all!

When you replace the top, there is a power button and a fan speed button.

One level one, I honestly can’t even hear the unit. If I don’t want to hear it going at all, I’ll turn it on level one.

We have our Venta Airwasher in a fairly large area and, living in Southern Utah, we tend to get a lot of dust so I turn it up to a 2 or a 3 most of the time. It is still very quiet. I’d compare it to about the noise level of a ceiling fan on level 3, so still very quiet.

Ultimately, I want one in ever bedroom in my house, plus the larger unit in our main living areas.
