With Spring all ready here and Summer rapidly approaching its time to get our beauty butts in gear! As the seasons change so do our beauty regimens. Your hair, skin and make-up react differently as the weather heats up so now is the time to change your beauty routine from head to toe. Below is a list of my top ten beauty products that will keep you beautiful all summer long.

The added sun exposure, wind, saltwater and chlorine can wreak havoc on your hair. You need something that will protect your hair and shield it from becoming brittle, unmanageable and discolored during the spring and summer months. Give Yourself a Pedicure at Home

Pedicures are the perfect way to spend me time and rejuvenate your spirit. Something as simple as a pedicure can make a big difference on your overall attitude and relaxation. If a pedicure at a salon is not in the budget, give yourself a pedicure at home. A few easy steps will get your feet in shape and give you the mommy time you deserve.

Set the Tone

Lock yourself in the bathroom or another quiet room in the house. If there is no such thing as a quiet room in your house, grab your iPod and listen to your favorite songs to block out the noise. Light scented candles. Grab your favorite drink and some chocolate.

Prep Your Feet

Remove any old polish from your toe nails. Trim your toe nails straight across. Using warm water, fill the bath tub or a smaller tub with warm water. Add a few drops of body wash or bubble bath.

Other options to add to the water:

Epsom salts
Aromatherapy oil
Bath salts

Soak your feet for 15-20 minutes or until the water cools. If you have a home foot spa you can use it for this part of the process. Enjoy your drink and chocolate while your feet soak. You may also want to use this time to catch up on your magazine reading.

Smooth Your Feet

The next step of the home pedicure is to smooth out the rough spots on your feet. Apply a foot scrub generously and rub it around on both feet. A pumice stone or foot file will help you achieve smoother skin on your feet. Gently rub them on any rough surfaces of your feet. Rinse your feet and apply a scented lotion.

Tackle Your Toe Nails

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The American Cancer Society estimates that 182,460 new cases of breast cancer will be diagnosed in American women in 2008 alone [1]. Support your local breast cancer awareness walks and fundraisers when they are occurring in your area. Because this month is the Breast Cancer Awareness Month, there are many beauty offers that donate a portion of their sales on the product to support breast cancer initiatives. Check these out and see if any of them are items that you are currently going to buy or are interested in. By buying them in the month of October and in the national shade of pink, you are donating to a cause that could help change our future.

Philosophy will donate 100% of the net proceeds for the Philosophy Shower for the Cure shower gel to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund.

Bumble and Bumble will donate $1 on every purchase of Bumble and Bumble Classic Hairspray when purchased on their website (bumbleandbumble.com) or at their salon in New York City during the month of October. Proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

O.P.I. Nail Lacquer will make a donation in the amount $25,000 to Susan G Komen Foundation to support breast cancer initiatives. They are offering the OPI Pink of Hearts shade of nail color in honor of the month.

DuWop is donating a portion of the sales of the DuWop Lip Lingo Pink set that has a case with the names of some women that were inflicted with breast cancer. A portion of the sales will be donated to the Cosmetic Executives Women’s Foundation Cancer and Careers through October 31st.

Clinique will donate $10 of the purchase of Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion (6.7oz) to Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The makers of Clarisonic Pink Skin Care Brush will donate a portion of the sale to support breast cancer initiatives.

Pink Nu Face For a Cause, Limited Edition is donating a portion of the purchase price of $379 to breast cancer research at the Burnham Institute for Medical Research (California).

Avon is donating 60% of the purchase price of the Avon Foot Works (SRP $7.50) to the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade.
