Pinterest has become so popular that it’s turned into an adjective. I can’t tell you how many birthday parties I’ve been to and been told that something is totally “pinnable”.
I’m not overly crafty, so many of the things on Pinterest don’t have much of a draw for me, but I’m a bit too obsessed with online shopping. It’s been years since I set foot in a store to do any of my Christmas shopping because I get a much better selection online and I can compare prices within seconds.
Sweet Relish is a fun new social sharing site that actually allows you to buy the things you share. Think Pinterest for shopping.
What exactly is Sweet Relish?
1. enjoyment of or delight in something that satisfies one’s tastes, inclinations. or desires;
2. the savings, and desires using our one of a kind button;
3. the crap you put on your hot dog
You can create lists of your favorite products (ex. Holiday gift ideas, things you want for your birthday, etc.) and share your list with your friends. I love seeing what my friends are buying because most of what I buy is based on a personal recommendation from a friend or blogger. The fun part is, if you see something you like on your friend’s page, you can click “buy” and be taken to a page where you can buy the product.
They call it the “Secret Sauce of Shopping” because it’s the missing piece from online shopping.
This would absolutely simplify gift giving. I need to get my hard to shop for husband on board!
Sweet Relish is still in the early stages but I think it definitely has potential!
