Are you a parent of a child with ADHD (or have ADHD yourself)? If you are, then you know that things work a little bit differently when you are dealing with an ADHD brain. These ADHD Amazon finds can be life-changing and they can be the secret weapons you never knew you needed.

I was diagnosed with ADHD in high school and was under the impression that once I graduated, it would suddenly not be a big deal anymore. Now, as an adult and parent of kids with ADHD, I can see how ADHD impacts nearly every area of my life. From the career I chose to the method I use for meal planning, doing things just a bit differently is standard around here.
The good news is, I’ve found plenty of tools and products that help me work with my brain instead of against it and now my kids are discovering that they can do the same.
These Amazon ADHD finds are items that I use on a regular basis and highly recommend if you are parenting a child with ADHD or have ADHD yourself.
Best ADHD Amazon Finds
Visual Timer For ADHD

One of the tools we use in our house most frequently to stay on task is a visual timer. As time passes, the blue on the clock disappears, making it easier to visualize how much time you have left to spend on a particular task.
I use timers all day long as I work at home, and my kids use them to get through school assignments and chores. They work amazingly well for a huge variety of tasks and do wonders for the the ADHD brain.
Hand Grip Strengtheners

Forget fidget toys. These hand grip strengtheners keep your hands busy while exercising restless muscles and they are perfect for ADHD brains.
We own a ridiculous number of these and keep them all over the house. I have a set on my desk at all times to grab whenever I need to while working at home and my kids keep them handy to stay focused during class or homework time.
Apple Airpods – Prevent ADHD distraction

When Apple AirPods first came out I never thought I would use them. Listening to music while I work distracts me and most of the situations where I’d like to listen to music I have other options.
What I didn’t realize at the time though, was how effective playing white noise through my Apple AirPods could be. This has worked great for several of my kids as well, especially if they have to do homework in a public area (where we keep our computers).
I also discovered a nice bonus use for my AirPods while watching one of my kids’ sporting events. Doing only one thing at a time is insanely boring to me so watching sporting events or other kids’ activities makes me a bit twitchy. Reading a book or surfing my phone means I miss out on the event, BUT listening to music or an audiobook while actively watching helps me focus and helped me to stop dreading those long events.
Driven to Distraction – The ADHD Book Everyone Needs
One of the first steps to successfully managing ADHD is understanding it. Driven to Distraction is known as the ADHD bible. If you or your kids has ADHD, trust me, you are going to want this in your home library.
I was gifted this book just after my ADHD diagnosis as a teenager. Even though I insisted that I would never read it, it was surprisingly helpful in helping me to understand the way my brain works.
How often do you set your car keys down somewhere and then can't remember where they are? Tile bluetooth trackers can eliminate that little problem.
We keep Tile trackers on all of our keys (and anything else we are likely to misplace). It seriously cuts down on the chaos when we can't find our keys.
Tide To-Go – For when ADHD makes you do too many things at once
Picture this. You are running late, frantically trying to remember everything that you need to bring with you. Then you realize you forgot to eat. So you take your food on the go. You see where this is going?
Without fail, I WILL end up with something spilled on my shirt when I try to eat and do literally anything else at the same time. When that happens, Tide to-go pens are a life-saver (shirt-saver?). Keep one of these in your bag to save clothes from being ruined.
Brain Hacks – Life-Changing Strategies to Improve Executive Function
One of the more challenging aspects of ADHD is dealing with executive function issues. Knowing what you want to do and knowing how to get through the entire process, start to finish, are two entirely different things. That’s where Brain Hacks can help.
This book understands the ADHD brain and gives you real, actionable tips to use that will improve day-to-day executive function.
Therapy Putty – ADHD Amazon Find
If your ADHD brain needs your hands to stay busy, therapy putty is a great way to do that. Different resistance levels are included and can be used for a huge variety of hand exercises.
Note: When using this with kids it is way worse than play-doh if you get it stuck on furniture or carpet. Be sure they are using it in an area where it won’t get stuck to anything, like the kitchen table.
ADHD Resuable To-Do List
With my ADHD brain, if something isn’t written down it doesn’t get done. I keep a variety of to-do lists (some digital, some not). For the most essential daily tasks I like to have a system that allows me to visually see what I need to do and what I’ve already accomplished. This reusable ADHD to-do list is perfect for kids or adults.
Insert different lists based on your needs and manually check off the things you have accomplished throughout the day.
If you are struggling to find solutions that work for your ADHD kids or your own ADHD brain, we hope these products will help simplify things just a bit. These are all things that we use every single day. Sometimes, thriving with ADHD just means finding some great tools.
