Babymoov Anti-UV Tent Review (and Giveaway!)
Living near the beach, one of my favorite things to do is spend the day relaxing and watching the waves. With infant twins our beach time is going to be a bit more complicated this year. Everything just takes more work when there are two babies.
Sun protection is always a huge worry. Half my kids have my fair skin (sorry about that, kids) and we burn if we even think about staying outside too long.
Rather than slathering my babies in sunblock, I usually prefer to opt for keeping them in the shade as much as possible. Babymoov recently sent me their new Anti-UV tent to test out and it is the perfect way to keep your little one out of direct sunlight this summer. It protects babies from up to 99% of UVA and UVB so you can really enjoy your time out in the sun.
We’ve been getting plenty of use out of it lately . . . even if, more often than not, it’s in our backyard instead of at the beach where I’d prefer to be. Getting out of the house with 6 kids is something I’m still getting used to so we get a lot of our outside time in by hanging out in the backyard. That’s okay though. It’s a phase, right?
We’ve tried all kinds of umbrellas and tents over the years. The Babymoov Anti-UV tent is a bit different and the design has really impressed me with it’s functionality. This tent has a flat opening. A few of the tents we’ve used have had a bit of a lip, which is great for keeping sand out but once it gets in it can be a bit of work to get it out again.
New crawlers have a bit of a hard time getting over a lip on a tent too so I love how easy it is for my babies to get in. They’ve decided it’s their spot and whenever we pop up the tent they get all excited and crawl right in. The tent is fairly deep but with the flat entry and nice wide opening babies still feel like they are a part of everything.
My twins have loved sitting just inside the tent and playing in the sand. It’s great because they are still protected but they don’t miss out on any of the fun. . . at least until they try and eat the sand. That’s not very fun.
That’s a plus because then it actually gets used. Another tent we have is very closed off and my babies have all hated being in it so it ends up just being a place to hold our stuff when we go to the beach.
There’s a little cut-out window at the back. It’s apparently great for playing peek-a-boo. Also, it gives a nice cross breeze so it doesn’t get too hot inside the tent.
The Babymoov Anti-UV tent folds up nice and small so you can take it with you. At only $39.99 it’s a great value. You can see it in action in the video below.
