Schools all over the country are struggling to provide kids with a quality education and opportunities for enrichment, but in a bad economy, funds are coming up a bit short. Bing wants to help 4 deserving schools by awarding a quarter-million dollars in prize money ,to be divided between the 4 winning schools, through their “Our School Needs” contest. As part of the campaign kick-off, singer Josh Groban who visited a local middle school in Queens, NY to drop off brand new musical instruments and participate in chorus class.
The entries have been narrowed down to 15 schools and now your vote will determine which schools get the money so support. These schools have big plans for the prize money, ranging from funding a new library, adding solar panels to provide sustainable energy, establishing music programs, and more. The entry with the most votes will be awarded $100,000 and the other 3 winners will each be awarded $50,000.
You can make a huge difference for the students at these schools through the Bing “Our School Needs” contest. So many teachers are spending their own money to create a better educational experience for their students. The contest will run through November 7th and if you are one of the first 30,000 to vote and you will receive a $3 donation code to redeem for the classroom project of your choice through DonorsChoose.org, a non-profit website where public school teachers can post classroom projects that need funding.
