Box Tops for Education have Gone Digital!

This post is sponsored by General Mills, but all opinions are my own.
With kids heading back to school soon, it is time to start thinking about fundraising options. I’m a huge fan of the Box Tops for Education program because it allows me to support my children’s schools while buying the things that we use regularly anyway. I don’t have a lot of time to participate in all the fundraising options out there, especially with kids at 4 different schools, but sending in Box Tops from some of our favorite products is definitely something I am able to do! I love seeing what a difference the Box Tops for Education program makes to our local schools and now they are making it even easier with a digital submission option.

We all know that most schools don’t have the funding that they need. Fundraising fills in the gaps and helps kids have the educational opportunities that are so important to their future.

My kids love hunting for Box Tops on all the products that we love to buy at Costco. They always remind me to look for them on the products we shop for! They get so excited knowing they are helping their schools. The Box Tops for Education program is easy enough that our whole family can get involved. My kids and I LOVE going to Costco to stock up on all our favorites.

Box Tops for Education

We’ve seen first-hand what a difference the Box Tops for Education program can make!

Years ago, my oldest was attending a local school that had an amazing Physical Education program that incorporated plenty of opportunities for teamwork. The teacher picked up on skills that my son needed to work on at home. My son had been a preemie and had always been a bit behind physically, but as first-time parents, we didn’t know what he should be doing at each stage.

We got word halfway through the school year that due to funding issues, the PE program and other supplementary educational opportunities likely wouldn’t be continued the following year.

We were devastated that, not only would my son not have the opportunity to continue with the program that had made such a difference to him personally, but all the kids attending the school in the future wouldn’t be able to participate in something so important.

The parents of the school teamed up and started collecting Box Tops for Education.

I had submitted Box Tops to our school before, but this was a focused effort. We pulled Box Tops off of everything that we could in our pantry and so did most of the other families at the school. It became routine for my son to go to school with a baggie full of Box Tops to turn into his teacher.

The school put up a giant chart at the entrance so we could see the progress that we were making and I loved seeing the number get closer and closer to our goal.

By the end of the school year, we had saved the PE program, as well as several other supplementary programs that were so important to the kids. I’ve seen how this program has inspired imagination and an active healthy lifestyle for my son and his classmates. The Box Tops for Education program makes me think about all of the changes I could help with. It is truly so inspiring!

Since then I’ve been passionate about the Box Tops for Education program. I’ve seen the difference they make in our local schools and how important that is to my kids.

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION IS NOW DIGITAL!!!

Box Tops for Education is making it even easier to support your local schools by offering a digital submission option. Now, you can simply scan your receipt with the Box Tops apps and you will earn money for the school of your choice.

I LOVE that they are making it so easy to use your purchases to support local schools. It takes just a moment to scan your receipt and that little act can do so much for education in your community.

>Costco Members can earn 10 Box Tops automatically on all select products AND 5,000 members have a chance to win an additional 100 Box Tops, too!!! Head to Costco right now to stock up on all these amazing products.

I do a good portion of my family’s grocery shopping at Costco (because 6 kids) and they have so many great options for products that participate in the Box Tops for Education program.

We are in full-blown back-to-school mode here so I ran to Costco to stock up on our favorites like Annie’s Mac and Cheese, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Mott’s fruit snacks, Nature Valley Biscuit Sandwich Almond Butter, and Annie’s Friends cereal.
