For a long time, that meant I just didn’t worry about trying to whiten my teeth.
I focused on protecting my teeth by:
- Avoiding soda and sugary drinks
- Brushing my teeth after each meal (as often as that is possible)
- Avoiding things that may discolor teeth like coffee and limiting citrus
There’s a certain point though, when even those precautions don’t do the trick and I found myself looking into teeth whitening options.
One thing I really love about Tom’s of Maine is I know I can trust the ingredients they put in their products. They always use sustainable practices and don’t use animal testing or animal ingredients. Their products don’t have any artificial colors, flavors, fragrance, or preservatives either so I always feel good about using them.
I love companies that try to make the best choices they can.
Tom’s of Maine doesn’t stop with just the ingredients they put in their products either. For more than 45 years, they’ve given back by donating 10% of their profits back to organizations that support people and the planet. They also encourage their employees to use 5% of paid time to volunteer. What an amazing company!
How does Tom’s of Main Luminous White Toothpaste Work?
Unlike many other whitening toothpastes, Luminous White is gentle on your enamel. My teeth are super sensitive to cold so I worry about doing anything that could make that worse.
Luminous White cleans your teeth using two types of high cleaning silica to gently (and safely) remove surface stains. They actually use a clinically proven natural whitening technology that is safe enough that you can use it every day.
You can find it at many retailers, including Walmart (which is where we find it for the best price).
This summer I have a lot of amazing things planned with my family. There will be photos. My goal is to be in those photos (because I have a history of staying behind the camera) and be proud when I flash my teeth.
