Do your kids love building with Lego bricks? It’s one of my kids’ favorite things to do. I was tired of finding Lego bricks all over the floor so we put together this easy DIY Lego Table that is perfect for individual play. It even has Lego storage build right in! Lego tables can be pricey and most of them take up quite a bit
Coffee filter crafts are so much fun to make with kids. There’s so much you can do with them and they are one of the most affordable craft supplies you can buy.
This summer, if your kids are starting to get bored, pull out the coffee filters and do one of these great coffee filter crafts for kids. My kids always love watching how paint spreads across the surface of the coffee filter so when we pull out the paint, they’ll often ask for the coffee filters to come out too.
The designs and crafts you can make with these are endless. Get creative and come up with your own or choose one of our favorite coffee filter crafts from the list below.
As the mom of three preschoolers, we are always looking for great new shows that help my kids learn important life lessons. We just discovered P. King Duckling on Disney Junior and my kids are hooked!
P. King Duckling, a cute new show that airs on Disney Junior inspires positive thinking, curiosity and most importantly is about being yourself. Developed by Dr. Christine Ricci (Dora the Explorer).
This show has so much personality and it’s different than most of what is out there right now. I loved seeing the tenacity of P. King Duck. With every challenge that he faces, he finds creative (and very funny) solutions that were so fun to watch.
My daughter LOVES doing projects with me. She’s always asking to work on an art project . . . with or without me. I know that if she’s asking to do a craft, I’d better jump in and do one with her or she’ll be climbing into the cabinet, pulling out art supplies, and next thing I know colored construction paper has been glued to every flat surface in her bedroom. Yep, we’ve been there.
I love hanging out with her and making art projects, not just because it saves my walls, but also because I know we are making some great memories.
With flowers blooming everywhere right now, I thought it was the perfect time to make these fingerprinted snapdragons. Snapdragons are one of my favorite flowers and they just look like spring to me.
Summer is all about making memories and this summer Cheerios is helping my family out with that. Sometimes the simplest activities are the best for toddlers and these DIY Cheerios treat bracelets are perfect for practicing small motor skills and kept my toddlers busy all day!
I grew up with Cheerios, and I’m guessing you did too.
I spent many summers stringing Cheerios to make bird feeders or practicing my subtraction by counting out Cheerios and then slowly eating them. My kids are so immersed in technology that sometimes I forget to go back to the basics, but when I do they absolutely love it.
This activity is so simple. It’s probably one you’ve done before. I know I’ve threaded thousands of Cheerios on pipe cleaners before. But my kids hadn’t. To them, this was a brand new experience and they spent hours and hours on this.
I was shocked to see them so invested in a project that didn’t involve electronics or flashy toys. Something as simple as Cheerios and pipe cleaners made them happy. My daughter told me it was the best day ever.
