DIY Unicorn Pen Holder

Looking for a fun way to store your pens or pencils? This DIY Unicorn Pen Holder is absolutely adorable and will be a huge hit with unicorn fans. This would make such a cute little gift or fun summer project for kids.

DIY Unicorn Pen Holder

Unicorns are super popular right now, especially with tween girls. I mean, can you blame them? Unicorns are pretty much the best thing ever. This Unicorn Pen Holder is so easy to make and looks so cute when it is done.

My kids love making projects during the summer (or any other time of the year). I’ve learned that when they start to argue with each other they are usually bored, so the best solution is to get them busy doing something.

Unicorn Pen Holder Instructions

Lay your can on your white piece of paper. Take your Sharpie or a pen if you have one near by & draw a line to mark the height of the can!

How to make a unicorn pen holder

Now take your scissors and cut your white piece of paper in half where you marked your paper.

Unicorn Pen Holder Instructions

Once you have cut your white piece of paper, it’s time to roll it onto your tin can. Once you have your paper situated, take your super Glue and glue your paper onto the tin can.

How to make a DIY pen holder

Let your super glue dry.

Grab your gold sparkle paper and cut yourself a large unicorn horn. It’s always better to cut too big than too small. You can always trim your horn down if needed.

Unicorn Pen Holder

Super Glue your unicorn horn to your tin can. Make sure to glue your horn to the inside of the can so you cannot see where you have glued the horn down.

Now for the fun part! Take your pack of paper flowers and decide which colors/patterns make the cut! Glue them to the top of your can once you have decided on your color scheme.

This next step is to draw on the eyes. This can be tricky if you have never attempted unicorn eyes. I suggest taking a blank piece of paper and drawing a few uniting eyes before drawing on your can. You only get one shot, so practice makes perfect.

Now that you have unicorn eyes, it’s time for those cheeks. Take your pink piece of paper and cut out two circles for cheeks.

Take your eyes and glue them onto your pen holder.

Just like that you have yourself a D.I.Y Unicorn Pen Holder! These are super cute. My little 6 year old went nuts for these. Now maybe I can convince her to gather up the pens that she likes to leave all over the house!
