I have a serious thing with museums. I could take my kids to a museum every day of the week and never get tired of them.
This might have something to do with the fact that I grew up just around the corner from the king of all museums – The Smithsonian.
I spent many afternoons wandering the halls of the Smithsonian museums growing up and it is an experience that I love to share with my children. While I haven’t taken my kids back to visit D.C. since my oldest was a toddler, it’s on my wish list of trips to take as they get older.
In the spirit of Smithsonian Museums, who offer free admission everyday, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day
Ticket… for free.
All you have to do is choose the museum you want to visit, print your ticket, and visit on September 28 with your guest. This would make a wonderful homeschool field trip, after school activity, or date night!
