A huge, huge, huge part of your sucess in an effort to get healthy is to eat right. But sometimes eating right can be very difficult and almost boring. It is doubly hard when you have children, who could careless if they had a few too many calories with dinner. Snacking is also a huge issue, as many of us keep snacks for our kids that do not fit into any sort of healthy diet. One great way to really stick to a healthy diet is to try lots of different things to keep it interesting. There are several ways to make your comfort foods healthier – like using olive oil instead of vegetable oil, cutting the cheese amount in half, using SmartBalance instead of real butter, ditching the salt, using non-fat milk instead of whole. But you also need to have some actual recipes. There are lots of places around the web to find them, but use caution. As will everything on the web, you have to be careful where you find your information and use your common sense. What some people consider healthy, might not really be or maybe it just doesn’t fit into your current plan. Always think of food in terms of your body and how it responds to you. Don’t eat something that would normally give you the runs, just becasue it’s healthy.
I have done some leg (or finger as the case may be) work for you and found some great recipes in the blogosphere. You can visit many of these sites often to find new recipes on a regular basis.
