Join us on Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. PST / 8:00 p.m. EST for the #HasbroHolidays Twitter party sponsored by Hasbro!
We’ve made it a yearly tradition at my house to have friends over for a casual game night on New Year’s Eve. It’s always a blast and being able to put my kids to sleep in their own bed and not worrying about a babysitter helps make the night so much more relaxing for me. It looks like this year we aren’t alone! Seventy-eight percent of Americans (more than three quarters!) will be staying in this New Year’s Eve instead of spending the night on the town according to a new survey by Hasbro.
Hasbro has some great options for jazzing up your next game night. Their line of party games, including Pointing Fingers, Catch Phrase, Funny or Die, and Scattergories, make for low-stress entertaining and really help bring out the party in everyone!
With the holidays upon us, what better time is there to gather friends and family for a game night! I don’t know about you but I’m always ready to take a break from the chaos of the holidays and enjoy some time connecting with the people I love. Spending time laughing over a face-to-face game is the perfect way to create memories and establish traditions.
The holidays can be hectic. It’s easy to get caught up in all the things that you have to do and forget to enjoy the moment — and I’m just as guilty of that as the next person. Have you scheduled any time to slow down and enjoy being with your family and friends this holiday season?
If a game night is in your future, we’ve got you covered. We’ll be chatting with Hasbro and sharing some tips for hosting an exciting (and stress-free) game night with your family and friends!
Joining us will be Julie Edelman, also known as the Accidental Housewife. Julie’s journey began on Madison Avenue as an advertising executive at Saatchi & Saatchi and detoured to the Mop ‘n Go Aisle when she became a wife and mother. Along the way she replaced doing lunch with doing diapers and using a plunger vs. a microphone to ‘clear the air’ and sink. Thus, a need was born to balance whom she was with what she had unexpectedly become: a housewife. And, so her crusade began to help she and millions like her keep health inspectors away, her family from starvation and to avoid falling in the toilet when the seat was left up by her hubs or son on the family throne. Today Julie is the go to gal for easy; real life time, money, and energy saving tips that maintain our home, health, family and manicure. And, though her solutions and tips cause Martha, Heloise and the handyman to cringe, she brings a sense of calm, humor and camaraderie to millions like her who live on what she lovingly calls Hysteria Lane.
