Keep your Home Secure with CUJO

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free.

How many devices are connected to the internet in you home? In my home it is 34. Now how many of those devices in your home are secure? In my home it is now 34 thanks to CUJO.

In today’s homes, it seems like everything connects to the internet.

I honestly was a bit surprised at the number devices in my house. I knew I had quite a few but I have never actually counted them. If you think about it, that means there are 34 different devices that might allow a virus, a malicious site or a hack into my home network.

Home internet security now means so much more than simply installing antivirus software on your computer. You need to protect your security cameras, smart TV’s, game systems, voice controlled speakers, your smart thermostat and even your light bulbs.

CUJO is a smart firewall for the connected home.

If you are like me you are probably thinking that a firewall seems like a good idea but wondering in the back of your mind who you are going to have to hire to set one up. That is what really caught my attention about CUJO.

CUJO is a cute little box with smiling eyes that you connect to your network with only a single ethernet cable and a power cord. That’s it! I even tried to make it harder that it needed to be by connecting a second cable only to find out later that I didn’t need it (CUJO has awesome tech support). It really is too easy.

Once you have physically connected the box to the network, you simply set up an account on you smart phone and CUJO does the rest. In a few hours it recognized all 34 internet connected devices on my network and started protecting each and every one of them.

Within days, it blocked 14 threats to my devices. Threats that honestly I never would have known were there without CUJO.

As CUJO is now looking at all the internet traffic that comes in and out of my house, it also has given me some amazing parental controls that help me know exactly what my kids are doing on the internet on every device.

CUJO’s Parental Controls include:

– internet filters

– time limits

– social media monitoring

– pause internet

– alerts and reporting

– remote administration

– user profiles and settings

CUJO is a simple to setup firewall for today’s connected home that gives impressive parental controls and you can get it at Best Buy.
