Lunch is kind of the forgotten meal around my house. I usually throw together something quick for my kids but I end up snacking on the go or waiting until I’m absolutely staring and grabbing a not-so-great choice. That’s not a great way to go, especially since I’m trying to lose the baby weight from having my twins.
What if I were to tell you that I have a simple trick that will help you eat a healthy lunch without spending hours in the kitchen?
Eat Smart has a fantastic line of gourmet salads that you can throw together in minutes. They are packed with super foods and include everything you need to make a seriously amazing salad.
My favorite is the Sweet Kale Superfood Salad. I’ve actually been eating this one for a while now and my whole family loves it. If I tried to throw together a salad this packed with veggies my kitchen would look like a bomb went off and it would take forever. These are so quick and easy that my kids can throw them together by themselves.
Actually, I really do have my kids make these. I’m all about child labor around here. They love to dump in the bag of toppings and toss everything together. There’s usually an argument over who gets to stir but on the plus side, I get to just sit back and wait for my lunch to be served.
I love how quick and easy it is to eat healthy with the Eat Smart salads. The flavors are absolutely amazing and I know I’m getting my veggies in.
I actually had no idea how many varieties of salads Eat Smart had. There are a few that aren’t carried in my local store and they are ones I definitely want to enjoy more often. I learned a trick recently while I was chatting with someone. Did you know that you can request specific products from your local grocery store if they already carry other products from the brand? I had no idea! There are a few Eat Smart salads that I’m going to be asking my produce manager to stock.
It’s so easy to get off track with your healthy eating goals during lunchtime when things are hectic. Take away the excuses with some quick and easy options. I have my fridge stocked with Eat Smart salads now so I can throw together a super quick (and yummy) lunch anytime I need to.
