PB&J Smoothie Bowl

smoothie bowl

I just tried my first smoothie bowl for the first time a couple weeks ago and now I am all about them. They are now my favorite breakfast.

This is such a good way to start your day because its packed with nutrients and also really really yummy. I have really picky toddlers and this is my favorite way to get them to eat something healthy.

Smoothies are great on their own but adding toppings? Game changer.

The best part of this recipe? There is no sugar! I don’t like things that are too tart so I toned this berry smoothie down with banana and a scoop of PB2. You could also use regular peanut butter or almond butter.

PB&J Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 C almond milk
  • 2 C frozen berries
  • 1 T powdered peanut butter (I used PB2) or any nut butter
  • 1 large banana
  • toppings (chia seeds, banana slices, raspberries, shredded coconut, granola, almonds, pumpkin seeds, blueberries, PB2, etc)

Instructions

Place almond milk, frozen berries, banana, and but butter in blender; cover. Blend until smooth.

Pour smoothie in a medium bowl. Top with your favorite toppings and serve.

Recipe makes one large smoothie bowl or two small smoothie bowls.
