This post is brought to you by StarKist and The Motherhood. All opinions are my own.
Life is about to get a whole lot busier when kids get head back to school. Everyone in my family is going to have very full schedules and that doesn’t leave a lot of time to prep healthy lunches. These 5 minute lunch ideas are absolutely delicious and they are loaded with protein so you’ll have the energy you need to make it through the day.
I’m always looking for quick and easy lunch ideas. My kids have their lunch routine down to a science, but I find that when my kids are away at school I often end up snacking throughout the day instead of taking the time to have a real meal.
I love to have a few quick ideas ready so that I can use lunch time to fuel the rest of my day instead of making me feel guilting for poor food choices. I find that I need a lot of protein to keep my energy up so high-protein meals are definitely top priority.
I already love StarKist’s Tuna and Salmon Creations®. They make quick lunches (even lunches on-the-go) so much easier Now they have Chicken Creations™ pouches too and they come in amazing flavors like: BOLD Buffalo Style, Zesty Lemon Pepper, Ginger Soy and Chicken Salad.
Chicken Creations™ can be eaten straight from the pouch when you are in a pinch for time (and I’m sure that is going to happen at least a few times over the next few weeks) or they can be worked into some fabulous, quick recipes.
They use premium, white meat chicken that is sourced from American Farms and raised cage free and hormone free. I absolutely love the flavor in these and I have a feeling they’ll go fast at my house. My 12 year old son LOVED the Buffalo Style and I’m pretty sure he hid some in the pantry to make sure they were still there when he wanted a snack.
A little planning always makes back-to-school go a bit smoother so I put together these four quick protein-packed snacks that take less than 5 minutes to put together thanks to Chicken Creations.
Buffalo Style Celery Sticks
My 12 year old son went nuts for these and this lunch would be so easy to pack for kids to take to school. Slice up some fresh celery sticks, throw in some extra veggies, and include the Buffalo Style Chicken Creations pouch from StarKist and you have an amazing lunch.
These pouches don’t need to be drained at all so they are ready to go when you need them.
Chicken Salad To Go
My family absolutely loves chicken salad but I don’t always have time to throw it together. The Chicken Salad Chicken Creations pouch is all mixed and ready to go. Throw in some crackers and a piece of fruit and you have a quick lunch that anyone will love.
Zesty Lemon Pepper Salad
I love a good salad for lunch. Take your salad up a notch with the Zesty Lemon Pepper Chicken Creations pouch from StarKist. This salad takes less than 5 minutes to throw together. Top it with whatever fresh veggies and seeds you have in your kitchen and you have an amazing lunch.
Quick Ginger Soy Lettuce Wraps
Lettuce wraps are delicious but they typically involve a lot of prep work. These quick Ginger Soy Lettuce Wraps can be throw together in just minutes with StarKist Chicken Creations. The Ginger Soy variety was my favorite. This little pouch was packed with so much flavor and it tasted like I had just made it from scratch.
These quick lunches are going to make my life so much easier this fall. I hope they gave you some ideas for quick and fresh lunches that you can fit into your busy schedule.
