I participated in a Blogger Activation on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Stonyfield. I received coupons to facilitate my shopping trip and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
Apparently I was a lot like that as a toddler. Remind me to apologize to my parents. Just today my older kids were trying to help my toddler with her breakfast (that she was spilling all over herself and the floor).
Brother: Let me help you.
Brother: I’ll just help you a little bit.
Brother: Let me show you how to do it so you don’t spill.
Toddler: (in a very firm voice) I say NO!
We’re in trouble when that one is a teenager. Snack time (and any meals in general) need to include foods that she can feed herself independently (or cover herself with food while trying). There’s just no debate about that. She WILL be feeding herself.
We’ve loved the little food pouches you can find in stores now and I would have loved those when my boys were younger. They are super convenient to throw in the diaper bag and take with you and they are overall just really handy to have on hand when you have a toddler who hasn’t quite mastered the art of the spoon.
We just added a new food to our food pouch repertoire — organic yogurt from Stonyfield!
She takes snacking very seriously.
I was already a big fan of Stonyfield yogurt. While I’d like to say we do all organic dairy, we’re a bit hit and miss. (It’s the cheese that gets me. My family eats SO MUCH cheese). I do try and buy organic yogurt whenever I can though and Stonyfield’s whole milk yogurt is some of my favorite. I’ve been devouring it during this pregnancy and I just can’t get over how thick and creamy it is.
I’ve been happy to see more stores in my local area carrying Stonyfield products and after a little hunting finally found the YoBaby, YoToddler, and YoKid yogurt pouches. If you are in Southern California Sprouts had the best selection for me but I found a few varieties at Vons.
My toddler was more than happy to test them out. One taste and she was hooked! I’ve actually had to hide them from her in the fridge because she has been going to the fridge all day long and trying to sneak into the stash of yogurt in there.
She learned how to open the fridge recently, which was an unfortunate development, but I’ll admit it’s pretty cute to see her walk over there, point to the Stonyfield yogurt pouches and say, “mine”. I kind of fear for her brothers’ lives if they try and sneak into her yogurt.
All of the Stonyfield organic yogurt pouches contain pure organic ingredients and never any high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors. I love that!
You can check to see if any of your local stores carry the YoBaby, YoToddler, or YoKid lines from Sonyfield by going here.
