Today we have a great lunch option for you when you are running short on time. OR if you have a teenage boy who likes to eat full meals as snacks (not that we know anything about that at the moment . . . ) then this is perfect for stashing in your freezer for those moments when you don’t feel like letting him cook a meal in between meals and mess up your kitchen in the process (again, not anything we know anything about). Sandwich Bros. of Wisconsin™ has a great line of handheld sandwiches that are easy to grab when you are in a hurry, so we were excited when they offered to sponsor today’s post.
I have a terrible habit. Several times a week, I’ll feed my kids lunch, make sure everyone eats, clean up the meal, then realize I never even sat down to eat. I graze while I cook but I forget to actually sit down and take care of my own needs.
Now, I’m not generally the kind of person who forgets to eat. Trust me, I have no problem remembering when there is a tray of brownies in my kitchen.
I have a problem remembering to slow down.
Because of that, I’m often eating on the go and we all know that when you are mindlessly eating you end up eating a lot more calories than you would have otherwise. That’s why I love grabbing something like a Sandwich Bros. pockets because it covers the portion control for me.
These little handheld sandwiches are easy to grab when you need to sit down and have lunch or a snack when you don’t have a lot of time to cook (and clean up. I think cleaning the kitchen takes just as long as cooking.).
I default to grabbing foods I shouldn’t when I’m frazzled during the day. That usually backfires because those empty calories zap my energy a few hours later. Sandwich Bros. aren’t just empty calories though. They are packed with protein so you stay full longer and have the energy you need to make it through the afternoon.
They aren’t huge sandwiches, so even my younger kids can finish one. My teenager just eats 2 . . . or more — that kid can eat!
I love that I can make a sandwich in just 50 seconds and my kids can make their own so there’s none of this following me around the house and asking me what there is to eat.
They have some great varieties:
- Chicken Melts
- Egg White & Turkey
- Turkey Sausage & Cheese
- And more. See all the Breakfast and Snack pockets at www.SandwichBros.com
We have actually loved these for a quick hot breakfast in the morning because we always seem to be running late and a quick bowl of cereal just doesn’t cut it when you have a million things to do before lunch.
I always try and have a few quick options on hand for those days when we just don’t have time to sit down and cook lunch during the day. Sandwich Bros. flatbread sandwiches are a great option for those hectic days when you just need a few minutes to sit down and take care of yourself.
